A 76-year-old man died after falling off the roof of his residence in Tarxien, landing on someone else’s roof which collapsed upon impact, totaling a two-storey fall.

The incident occurred at around 12.45pm along Vjal Simmons, Tarxien.

Although initially the man fell the height of one storey, the roof that he landed on collapsed, leading him to fall down another storey.

An ambulance and CPD officers went on site, with the man being transported to Mater Dei Hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.

Unfortunately, he was certified dead shortly after. 

Magistrate Victor Axiak is leading an inquiry, while police investigations are still ongoing.
