Elderly Woman At Risk Of Dying After Being Hit By Car In Żebbuġ
An elderly women is currently fighting for her life after she was hit by a car in Żebbuġ this morning.
The incident took place at 8.45am in Vjal il-Ħelsien.
Initial investigations revealed the 78-year-old woman, from Żebbuġ, was hit by a Peugeot 307, which was being driven by a 20-year-old Syrian man living in Żebbuġ.
The woman received medical assistance and was transported to Mater Dei by ambulance and was later certified with serious injuries.
Magistrate Joseph Mifsud is leading an inquiry while police investigations are ongoing.
