A 77-year-old woman has been left fighting for her life after she fell a storey and a half inside a block of apartments in Triq Agatha Barbara, Żabbar this afternoon.

Police said the elderly woman was rushed to hospital after she fell into the common area of the apartment block at around 3:45pm. Police are investigating the incident and a magisterial inquiry has been opened.
