Emergency Helicopter Called In To Rescue Injured Man At St. Peter’s Pool

An Australian man has been rushed to hospital after injuring his head while diving into St. Peter’s Pool just off Delimara.
The incident, which happened at 2:15pm, saw police, civil protection unit and emergency services (including a helicopter to hoist the victim out) work together to help the 27-year-old and evacuate the area.
Currently being treated at Mater Dei hospital, the condition of the injured tourist is not yet know.
This is the second incident involving St. Peter’s Pool this week. Last Tuesday a young tourist from Spain went missing for a day before it was discovered that he had drowned.
