Emergency services were called in to the limits of Naxxar after a motorcycle accident early this morning, with parts of the roads being closed off to traffic.

Police confirmed with Lovin Malta that a motorcycle was involved in an accident at around 9am below Telgħa t’Alla u Ommu, Naxxar.

Preliminary investigations indicate a singular motorcycle was involved in the accident.

Officials closed off parts of the road leading from Naxxar in the Coast Road direction. The condition of the motorcyclist is as yet unknown.

An hour earlier, a cyclist was hit by a bus just down the road in Coast Road.
