A 31-year-old Englishman was been seriously injured after falling one floor below in the common area of his a block of apartments in Msida.

The man fell between the fourth and third floors of a block of apartments in E.H. Furse Street in Msida, at around 1am this morning, police have confirmed. It is unknown what led to the fall.

Members of the Civil Protection Department assisted paramedics to remove the man from the block of apartments before rushing him to Mater Dei for treatment. He was confirmed to have serious injuries there.

A magisterial inquiry has been appointed.
