A security officer was injured during an attempted robbery at the Eurosport sports outlet in Birkirkara yesterday afternoon.

TVM reported that the security officer, a 46-year-old man from Qrendi, had spotted two men trying to steal some clothing items from the popular outlet in Salvu Psaila Street. However, as he was holding them, the robbers attacked him and escaped before the police could turn up.

According to TVM, the police are analysing security camera footage to search for the two men.
