Disgraced Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Keith Schembri has been taken to court this morning after a warrant for his arrest was executed by police officers and court officials.

In a live video by Lovin Malta, Schembri was recorded entering a court official’s vehicle after police officers were seen entering his home in Santa Marija Estate in Mellie?a earlier today.

Addressing Lovin Malta, Schembri said: “I was never notified about this appearance in court, and the minute I was notified about it I put on a suit to go”.

When asked if he had anything to do with the murder, Schembri doesn’t respond and enters the vehicle before he is driven to court.

Judge Lawrence Mintoff issued a warrant for Schembri’s arrest this morning after court marshals were unable to locate him yesterday to hand him his summons. Schembri was due to appear as a witness in the case of Yorgen Fenech against inspector Keith Arnaud.
