Families Of Collapsed Apartment Block To Be Given Temporary Accommodation By Housing Authority

The Housing Authority will be providing with the families who lived in a Pieta’ apartment block that partially collapsed four apartments as temporary accommodation.

The families will move in the residence on Monday and will stay in a hotel over the weekend.

They will return to their homes once the building is deemed safe.

All the expenses will be paid for by the contractor of the neighbouring site.

While the news will be welcomed by the families, a number of issues had to be flagged in order for the authorities to take action.

Families were left to guard their home overnight with authorities failing to provide security for their home. Police eventually turned up to the site after extensive reporting this morning.

Meanwhile, Janet Walker had to take to Facebook to beg for temporary accommodation in a central area.
