Father And Mater Dei Worker Frankie Aquilina Identified As Victim Of Fatal Fgura Accident
Frank Aquilina, commonly known as Frankie, has been identified as the victim of yesterday’s fatal accident in Fgura.
59-year-old Aquilina died after falling two storeys from his residence along Triq il-Ġojjin in Fgura on 30th August, shocking many people who knew him.
Aquilina was a father and a beloved worker with the Mater Dei ambulance crew and has been described as a very quiet but good man.
“He was very helpful in his job and so caring with the patients,” one of his colleagues told Lovin Malta.
“I can’t understand this life we live. In the evening we had just met inside the locker room of Mater Dei as we always do, and now I find out that you’re not with us anymore. Rest in peace my friend and colleague, the room is going to be empty without you,” another one of his colleagues wrote on social media.
“Today we started the day with a horrible tragedy as his neighbours. Rest in peace and condolences to his family,” one of his neighbours said.
“I think we are all shocked this morning with the tragedy that happened early this morning in Fgura, where a family lost a father and Fgura lost a gentleman,” another neighbour said.
Lovin Malta would like to extend its condolences to his close family and friends
