A fire has broken out nearby St Philip’s Hospital in the Santa Venera area. 

Images sent to Lovin Malta shows a large plume of smoke by the building. Sources on site said that the fire has been going for a few hours. 

Police have said that it appears no one is injured. A spokesperson indicated that it could be a sub-station that caused the blaze.
