Fire Fighters Still Combatting Pembroke Blaze As Flames Rage On One Day Later
Firefighters have been battling a grass fire in Pembroke for the better part of 24 hours after flames broke out yesterday afternoon.
Lovin Malta is informed that the fire is taking particularly long to combat due to the sheer amount of combustible material.
The fire broke out in a green area between Australian Hall and St Clare’s College and is believed to span a diameter of 150m.
This is the third grass fire in a matter of weeks after flames swept through green areas in both Mgarr and Mtaraf.
