Today marks the fifth anniversary of Lassana Cisse’s murder.

On 6th April 2019, 42-year-old Lassana Cisse was gunned down in Ħal Far in what is believed to be the first racially motivated murder in Maltese history.

During this incident, two other victims, Ibrahim Bah and Mohammed Jallow, were also left for dead but luckily survived.

Former AFM soldiers Francesco Fenech and Lorin Scicluna are suspected of the drive-by shooting just after 11 p.m. The two are still out on bail and awaiting trial.

Moviment Graffitti remembered Cisse today and demanded justice and governmental action to address systemic racism here in Malta.

Rest In Peace Lassana.

Do you think the government needs to take more action to address systemic racism?
