‘Fly High Angel’: Liquid’s Beloved Clubbing Fish Passes Away

An icon of Maltese clubbing has died.

Anyone who has ever visited Club Liquid in the outskirts of San Ġwann will have been greeted by their infamous fish, staring at revellers who danced their night away.

The club has now announced that the fish has died, leading to DJs, partiers and all types of entertainment people sending tributes to the fish.

“You have been good to us,” said one person.

“Rest in peace… I hope you cherished the vodka shot I poured in the water filter for you,” said another, hopefully jokingly.

The club has since changed its Facebook profile picture to a stark black image in light of the passing.

The fish had just been moved from its usual place just weeks ago, with a new see-thru fish tank display being set up.

However, it seems like it was not enough to give it going much longer.

One thing’s for sure – if there’s ever been a literal party animal in Malta, it’s Liquid’s fish.
