‘Fly High My Friend’: Tributes Pour In After Motorcyclist Rupert Tabone Dies In Birkirkara Accident

Friends and loved ones of Rupert Tabone have taken to social media to share their final farewell to the motorcycle enthusiast who lost his life in a road accident in Birkirkara today.
Rupert, 54, is being remembered as a gentleman who was always there for his friends, ready for a good conversation and to help his loved ones when they needed it as well as for his passion for motorcycles.
“Rest in peace my friend, only hours away we said good morning, fly high,” said one person.
“We lost a great friend and a true gentleman, again in a traffic accident, fly high my friend you are going to be missed,” said another.
“That’s the last time we’ve met as a crew to cook and hang out together. Until we meet again, look over us.”
“I just heard the news, my good friend Rupert Tabone, sadly died today in a road accident. He was always good company and we always shared lots to laugh about and many smiles.”
“A good man gone too soon.”
“I feel blessed with your friendship and I will always appreciate and feel blessed to have had such a wise and caring friend in my life. Rest in Peace, my friend and may the angels comfort and care for you always!”
Rupert lost his life at around 5.15pm in Triq Dun Karm, Birkirkara when he lost control of his Zontes motorcycle and his body was thrown between the two guard rails separating the roads, police said.
A medical team certified him dead on the scene. Magistrate Ian Farrugia has opened an inquiry into the accident while police investigations are underway.
