Forensics Firm Which Worked On Vitals Inquiry Files For Liquidation In The UK
Harbinson Forensics, the forensics firm which worked on the Vitals magisterial inquiry, has filed for voluntarily liquidation in the UK.
A public notice dated 11th October and signed by the company’s founder Jeremy Harbinson confirms that the firm applied to be wound up, with Dorothy Brown appointed as liquidator.
Former permanent secretary Ronald Mizzi, one of several people facing charges in connection to the inquiry, is now seeking damages from the forensics firm.
In a judicial letter, he warned that the firm’s report is full of “technical mistakes, factual errors, selectivity in collection of evidence, mistaken hypothetical conjecture and other serious shortcomings”.
He also pointed out that the firm has filed for liquidation in the UK.
Besides the Vitals inquiry, Harbinson Forensics had also worked on the Egrant inquiry, which found forged signatures on alleged declarations of trust claiming a secret Panama company belonged to the wife of former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.
