Forestals Smartwatch Thief Comes Clean And Pays For Stolen Item After CCTV Footage Published
A thief who was caught on CCTV robbing a smartwatch from the Forestals showroom in Mrieħel has voluntarily stepped forward to pay for the item he stole.
“We have settled with the person in question who came forward and paid for the smartwatch,” Forestals announced yesterday, confirming the tech store will double the amount paid and give it as a donation to Puttinu Cares.
They thanked the police for their hard work and professionalism, as well as the general public who helped provide information.
The robbery took place on Wednesday at around 5pm. CCTV footage published by Forestals showed the man grabbing a Samsung smartwatch and hiding it in his bag, with the store stating the thief arrived via motorcycle.
