Found! German Diver’s Lost Camera Returned – And He’s Donating To A Maltese Charity As Thanks

The owner of an underwater camera discovered during a local clean-up has been reunited with his lost item – and has donated a small sum of money as gesture of thanks.

Coast Is Clear volunteer Beppe Micallef Moreno, who found the camera during a clean up last Friday, met with with German diver Shaun, who is working for Nautic Team Gozo.

Shaun explained how he had seen Lovin Malta’s article calling for the owner to be found, and he quickly got in contact with the clean-up crew.

He went on to say he had been diving at Xatt L-Aħmar in south east Gozo as well as near the P31 in Comino about three weeks ago when he lost the camera.

As a small gesture of thanks, Shaun said he wanted to donate €50 to Beppe’s charity of choice, with the young volunteer choosing the inspirational Kick It For Keith fundraiser.

“A good, happy ending,” one diver involved in the find told Lovin Malta.
