Litter Of Six ‘Fragile, Innocent’ Puppies Found Abandoned In Malta’s Streets

A litter of “fragile, innocent” puppies were rescued by Animal Welfare after they were abandoned in Malta’s streets.
The photos of the abandoned creatures were shared by the ‘Rescued is my Favourite Breed’ social media page, by Lulu Arpa.
“We sadly share this world with people that are so wicked that they throw fragile innocent creatures out in the streets to die alone, terrified and in pain!” Arpa wrote.
“It is beyond heartbreaking. Way beyond.”
Explaining how the puppies were rescued by Animal Welfare yesterday, they are currently still in quite a fragile state.
“We are keeping them warm with hot water bottles and cosy bedding, and four out of six puppies need extra attention,” she explained.
“They are unable to stand especially the little boy weighing only one kilogram. We named him Tiny. He has just had a feed and is sleeping soundly. They all are.”
Lulu appealed for people to send positive thoughts to these babies, so they may get them stronger and stronger every day.
“They are little fighters,” she said.
This is far from the first time that abandoned puppies have been found on Malta’s streets, as the issues around animal care continue to persist on the island.
