Francis Zammit Dimech To Be Given Final Farewell On Thursday

Acting President of Malta Francis Zammit Dimech will be given a final farewell on Thursday in Balluta.
The ceremony will be held at 2pm at the church dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
In light of this, today and tomorrow the Partit Nazzjonalista Dar Ċentrali will be open to the public for those who wish to pay their respects to Francis Zammit Dimech by writing a message in the Book of Condolences prepared for the occasion. The PN Headquarters may be visited today, Tuesday between 12pm and 8pm, and tomorrow, Wednesday, between 9am and 8pm.
The PN has been in contact with the family and those closest to Zammit Dimech to make the necessary arrangements for the final farewell. At the end of the celebration of his life, the cortege will also pass in front of the PN Headquarters, the Dar Ċentrali.
Zammit Dimech served as a PN MP between 1987 and 2017, where he had a number of ministerial roles under PN administrations.
He served as a PN MEP from 2017 to 2019 and as PN secretary general from 2020 to 2021.
He sadly passed away yesterday at 70 years out after battling with illness. An outpour of tributes honouring his legacy quickly followed the news, with members of both major political parties remembering Zammit Dimech for his respectful nature and honesty.
Rest in peace.
