In one of the first local commentaries about Donald Trump’s projected US election victory, Franco Debono said the Americans “have voted for peace”.

“It seems that the Americans are sick and tired of the politics of war and have voted in favour of peace,” the lawyer and former PN MP said, before sending a message of caution to the EU.

“From now on, those people in Europe who continue promoting the politics of war will have a harder time. At the end of time, the wars are on Europe’s doorstep.”

“The Americans have voted against the politics of war, and Joe Biden will be remembered as the worst President in US history.”
