‘Free Palestine! End Genocide!’ Crowd Shouts As A Hundred Turn Up For Palestinian Protest In Msida
Around a hundred people turned up waving Palestinian flags and signs in Msida in solidarity with the brutal conflict between Israel and Palestine that erupted last year.
“Free! Free! Palestine,” they chanted.
“End genocide! End genocide!”
“We can’t do anything from here. Every time I open Facebook, there’s someone I know who is killed, or a friend posting about losing a loved one,” a woman from the Arabic Culture Information Society cried.
“Would you, Maltese, accept to be told to leave your country?”

The ACIS said that the demonstration was organised “to protest the indiscriminate bombardment and unlawful siege of civilians in the Gaza Strip” which became an open-air prison with 2.2 million inhabitants.
Yesterday, Israel warned 1.1 million Gaza residents to evacuate within 24 hours. The move has been decried by the UN as “impossible”.
On 7th October, Hamas killed at least 260 festival-goers in Israel. Israel has retaliated with airstrikes that have killed at least 1,500 Palestinians, with nearly 7,700 wounded. The death toll is Israelis has reached 1,300.
