FreeHour CEO and founder Zach Ciappara and TOLY Products Ltd CEO Andy Gatesy were honoured with awards at an annual EY event yesterday.

Ciappara was named EY Rising Star Malta for 2024, an honour that has previously been won by the likes of Shireburn Software CEO Yasmin De Giorgio, Mvintage managing director Krystle Penza, and Dr Juice managing director John Winfield.

EY described FreeHour, which Lovin Malta is a minority shareholder of, as the “go-to platform for Maltese students, offering a range of service” and said has a “90% reach among Gen-Z”.

Gatesy was named EY Entrepreneur of the Year, an honour that has been won by major Maltese businessmen, including Alfred Pisani, Angelo Xuereb, David Darmanin, Nazzareno Vassallo, Mark Bajada, and Louis Farrugia.

EY said the Malta-based TOLY “leads in packaging for the beauty industry globally” and “serves top beauty brands worldwide with quality, technical expertise, and creativity”.

Both men will now travel to Monaco in June to represent Malta at the annual EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards.

Well done Zach and Andy!
