From Portomaso to Electrogas, Yorgen Fenech Resignations Pour In Across Tumas Group Empire
Yorgen Fenech, the Maltese businessman suspected of masterminding the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia has resigned from many of his companies, a series of newly signed documents have revealed.
Fenech has resigned from several companies including Portomaso Leasing Company, Tumas Group Company, Tumas Group Finance Company Limited, Tumas Gaming Group, TG Leading Company Limited, TG Properties Limited, Tomino Services Limited, Mill Street Complex Limited, Halland Developments Company Limited, St Andrews Hotel Limited, Norma Limited, Spinola Investments Limited, and Sun Island Services Limited, among others.
He was replaced by Raymond Sladden or Emanuel Fenech, sometimes both, as a director in many of these companies.
Yorgen was also replaced as the director of Tumas Group by his brother, Franco Fenech.
Yorgen remains a shareholder in many of the businesses.
This revelation comes after Yorgen Fenech resigned as director of Tumas Group, one of the biggest business consortiums on the island. The company was estimated to be worth over €350 million in assets back in 2017 and includes everything from hospitality, property, gaming, energy and shipping.
Yorgen was caught allegedly attempting to flee the country early this morning in his private yacht ‘Gio’ from Portomaso. The Armed Forces of Malta intercepted him and brought him back to the island, where he remains under arrest.
