Funeral Party Thrown For Shannon Mak, The Dutch Woman Brutally Murdered In Santa Venera
The family of Shannon Mak, the 30-year-old Dutch woman who was found murdered in Santa Venera with her throat slit allegedly by her 22-year-old Dutch ex-boyfriend, have organised a funeral party in her memory as they prepare to cremate her body.
The friends and family of Mak are invited to a final party in Holland to celebrate her memory. A message was posted on her memorial Facebook page letting her friends know how to remember her.
“My last party is about to start, wherever I met you in the world. Open a bottle of wine and drink with me. My life was a party. It just ended sooner than I wanted, but ‘it will be okay’,” said the posts from her memorial page.
“On Wednesday 15th August at 13:30 we are going to party one more time. At 16:00 the immediate family will guide Shannon to the crematorium. Shannon was not a flower type of girl, just come and have a toast with her. We would appreciate it if you could leave a memory of Shannon,” the family said in a statement
Mak, who was working in Malta, was found with her throat slit at 6:15am between two cars parked in Triq il-Mastrudaxxa, Santa Venera. Her ex-boyfriend, Jelle Rijpma, is currently being accused of killing Shannon Mak. He remains in police custody.
