George Degiorgio was allowed out of prison temporarily on Friday night, with photos showing him smiling with his relatives.

“The Correctional Services Agency followed its procedures following those decisions,” adding that he was escorted by a special escort.
Last October, the DeGiorgio brothers pleaded guilty to murdering Caruana Galizia, being sentenced to 40 years in prison.
George and Alfred Degiorgio were arrested in December 2017, along with Vince Muscat, who was last year sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for the murder as part of a plea deal.
