German Man Arrested In Gozo Over Suspected Cannabis Cultivation Setup

A 27-year-old German man has been arrested in Gozo after police discovered a room filled with cannabis plants and growing equipment inside a Nadur residence.

The bust was part of a joint operation involving multiple police units, who had been surveilling the property on Triq ix-Xjuf ir-Riħ.

Officers entered the residence earlier today under warrant, where they uncovered a dedicated cultivation setup complete with lights, equipment and around 20 cannabis plants of varying sizes.

Cannabis seeds and other related items were also found at the scene.

Magistrate Simone Grech has been informed and appointed an inquiry into the case.

The man is currently being held under arrest and is expected to be charged in court in the coming days as investigations continue.
