A German teen is currently fighting for his life after he was hit by a car in Swieqi yesterday.

The incident took place at 4.45pm in Triq Sant’Andrija.

Initial investigations revealed the 14-year-old boy was hit by a Dacia Logan, which was being driven by a 59-year-old man living in Rabat.

The teen received medical assistance and was transported to Mater Dei by ambulance and was later certified with serious injuries.

Magistrate Joe Mifsud is leading an inquiry while police investigations are ongoing.
