Gozo Walks For Cancer: Embark On A Fundraising Journey In Aid Of Hospice
Gozo Walks for Cancer is a new fundraising walking initiative being organised in Comino and Gozo, all in aid of Hospice Malta.
“This event is aimed at raising money for the benefit of families living in Gozo, with the money raised set to be donated directly to Hospice Malta to provide temporary accommodation for relatives of Gozitan residents who are receiving palliative care in Malta,” organisers told Lovin Malta.
There will be three fundraising walks held over three days, between 1st October and 3rd October in Gozo and Comino.
The first walk will take place on Sunday 2nd October in Comino, totalling around seven kilometres, with families encouraged to take part. Free transportation from Gozo and Ċirkewwa will also be available.
The second walk is a 25-kilometre walk over two days and will start in Mġarr, Gozo, all the way to the bay of Xlendi on the other side of the island. The second day will see a circular walk from Victoria to Dwejra, and back.
The third and final walk will cover roughly 53 kilometres and will take place over three days from 1st until 3rd October.
