A Turkish man was hit by a motorcycle earlier this morning, leading to the closure of a main road along the Gżira coast.

The incident occurred at around 10.50am along Triq ix-Xatt, Gżira, direction towards Sliema, a police spokesperson told Lovin Malta. 

The Turkish man was hit by a Yamaha motorcycle being driven by a 41-year-old resident of Paola.

Consequently, the Turk was transported to Mater Dei Hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. His condition is still unknown.
