A man who lives in Gżira is at serious risk of dying after falling off a ladder while working in a factory in Mrieħel.

The man, who is 48-years-old and Bulgarian, was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital yesterday after 5.30pm, where he was found to be suffering from serious injuries.

From preliminary police investigations, it seems the man’s injuries stemmed from his fall from the ladder; it is still unknown what exactly led to the fall.

Magistrate Yana Micallef Stafrace has appointed several experts to help in her inquiry. Police investigations are still underway.
