Heavily Decomposed Female Body Discovered Off Marsalforn Coast
A cadaver has been found in the sea near Marsalforn, Gozo.
The body, which police said was heavily decomposed, is believed to belong to a woman, though an identity has not yet been confirmed.
The body was found around 11.15am today, with police officers undertaking an operation to remove the body from the sea. It was taken to the Mġarr Bay.
Magistrate Brigitte Sultana has opened an inquiry into the find.
The cause of death is not yet known.
