Even the biggest fans of winter are probably sitting there scratching their heads right now, wondering how we’re still getting rainy days a week into the start of spring. Well, this weekend’s weather forecast is here to help you look at the bigger picture… and it starts with disregarding today.

Although isolated showers and strong winds are set to continue throughout today – particularly when it comes to the first half of Friday – we should still be looking at a rather fine weekend.

In fact, today’s cool lows of 14°C will soon start making their way up, with Sunday looking like it will just about not manage to breach 20°C. Steadily, as the days progress, the weekend will get sunnier, with Sunday looking like it’s going to definitely live up to its name.

And while today’s Force 5 and 6 winds will diminish to mostly 3-4 over the weekend, don’t expect evenings to be too warm yet; each day’s lowest temperature is still very much 10°C. So while you probably shouldn’t cancel those picnic or BBQ plans, you should probably also plan to take an extra blanket with you.
