Hey, Wait, Whatcha Say? The Busker Receive Mixed To Positive Reviews From International YouTubers
Do you wanna dance? YouTube reactors say yes!
The Busker’s ‘Dance (Our Own Party)’ has received mixed to positive reviews from Youtube reactors.
Most of them have praised Malta for making the right choice but others are not convinced that this could overturn our chances with the televote.
If you love the Eurovision Song Contest and the commentary about the songs coming out, you might want to subscribe to some of these channels.
These reactors comment on each country’s song and collaborate with each other to discuss the state of play of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
American reactor Alesia Michelle is all praise.
She describes the song as a groove marred with convincing lead vocals by Dav Jr. Furthermore, she claims that the staging and the performance are good to go and only need to be cleaned up and not reworked.
Maltese reactor SHAUUNZERS was the first to react to the song, back when The Busker were just quarter finalists. (Full disclosure – this is the author’s reaction account)
He’s been flying their flag ever since and now that they won, he thinks the song could do with a revamp that makes the chorus less repetitive. Top that off with more smiles out of Dav Jr and Malta has a chance to qualify in Liverpool.
Noosh Berberian, an Armenian-Cypriot reactor, like many, has criticised the poor level of the selection.
However, she’s glad to find out that the one song she liked is going to Eurovision. Noosh thinks this will look great in Liverpool and praises the Maltese song for being a massive improvement on last year.
Milan based British reactor Shane Panch, compares this song to the Latvian entry last year and therefore thinks that it will benefit from an all-televote semi final.
However, given Malta’s track record with the public vote, he is not yet certain that this is a safe qualifier.
Reactor group The Greeks unanimously love the performance, particularly the costume changes.
They also applaud the chemistry between all three members of group.
All the way from Northern Ireland, Jude Kennedy uses an big word to describe the song – catchy.
And this is exactly what we need if the televote has to vote for us.
Do you think The Busker could take Malta to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool?
