Hit-And-Run In Luqa: Driver Mows Down Man And Is Later Arrested In Msida
A 25-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were arrested last night after they were involved in the hit-and-run of a man in Ħal Luqa.
The police said in a statement that a 27-year-old man from Santa Venera was mowed down by a Volkswagen Golf while walking in Misraħ iż-Żgħażagħ, Ħal Luqa last night. Medics later ruled that he had suffered grievous injuries as a result of the incident.
The driver fled the scene but police eventually found him in Msida and arrested both him and his 19-year-old passenger.
