The Minister for Home Affairs and National Security has been taken to hospital after suffering a grievous head injury following a fall in his home.

Michael Farrugia is currently being observed in Mater Dei, and it is as yet unknown what led to the fall, though it has been confirmed that he was inside his home when it happened, and it is believed to have been an accident.

He is expected to be discharged from hospital this evening and is expected to return to work within a few days.

We hope that he recovers quickly.
