Homeless 28-Year-Old Man Pleads Not Guilty To Marsa Murder

A 28-year-old Sudanese man has been charged with the murder of an Egyptian man that occurred Sunday evening in Marsa.

Al Mahy Ezzo Saeed has been charged with the murder after stabbing the as-yet unidentified man four times in the chest and back. 

He has been remanded in arrest and pleaded not guilty to the charges. No request for bail was made since Saeed doesn’t have a place to live himself.

On 24th July at around 6.30pm, police were informed of an argument between two people in Triq Patri Feliċjan Bilocca, Marsa.

An injured and unconscious man was found on site with injuries caused by a sharp instrument.

The victim was given help by a medical team on location. He suffered four wounds to his chest and back.

The man was rushed to hospital but he died shortly after.

Saeed was arrested moments after the incident in a nearby street. A knife, which is believed that have been used in the murder was found in his possession.

Magistrate Caroline Farrugia Frendo is leading the inquiry into the stabbing, while police investigations are ongoing.
