‘I Will Keep Your Presence Alive’, Bernice Cassar’s Sister Promises After Family Murder
The sister of a mother who was murdered yesterday has promised to be there for the children whose family have suddenly been destroyed.
Bernice Cassar’s sister, Clarice Cilia, said she has been trying to console her sister’s two young children after the horrific experience they are being forced to deal with.
”As I was laying in bed with your children, trying to console them and giving them love, I could not stop thinking about everything you had to go through,” Cilia said.
”Although I cannot give them a mother’s love, I promise I will keep your presence alive, in their lives. That is what you deserve.”
TVM News reported Cilia’s statement that was posted to her Facebook page.
On 22nd November, femicide victim Bernice Cassar was shot by her husband.
The husband was arrested at 2am today, after 17 hours of locking himself inside the house.
Cilia has been caring for the children ever since the incident, and comforting them as much as possible. We offer our deepest condolences to the family.
