In Photos: Lost Hiker Rescued From Beneath Aħrax Tal-Mellieħa Cliffs

Civil Protection Malta launched a search and rescue operation on Saturday after receiving a distress call about a hiker who had gotten lost while exploring Slugs Bay in Mellieħa.

Rescue teams from Fire Station 3 quickly initiated the search and successfully located the man beneath the edge of a cliff at Aħrax tal-Mellieħa.

Meanwhile, additional teams from Stations 5 and 6 approached by sea, safely bringing the stranded hiker to shore.

Thanks to the swift action of the Civil Protection teams together with the help of Mater Dei’s emergency team, the man was rescued.
