In Photos: Malta Commemorates 50 Years As A Republic

This year’s Republic Day was one for the books as Malta marked the 50th anniversary of this historic milestone.

From the Investiture Ceremony presided over by President Myriam Spiteri Debono, honouring incredible individuals like the late Jake Vella, Karl Gouder, and Lorenzo Vella, to the ceremonial parade by the Armed Forces of Malta in St. George’s Square – the day was packed with pride.

The celebrations also included a Pontifical Mass at St. John’s Co-Cathedral led by Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna, attended by dignitaries including the President and Prime Minister.
