Angele De Leuw, a beacon of hope for many, passed away at the young age of 34 after her relentless battle with cancer.

Angele’s story touched many, especially those who followed her journey over the past four years as she combated the grim spectre of cancer.

Originally diagnosed with breast cancer after the birth of her baby, Angele’s condition took a turn for the worse when it spread throughout her body. She was in agony and confined to her bed, distant from her beloved husband and children. In one of her most vulnerable moments, she shared,

“Imagine your father picking you up to go and use the toilet and your parents washing you. I was close to giving up.”

A glimpse into her past reveals a woman of resilience and optimism. Three years prior, as a young mother of two, she faced what many would consider the harshest blow: a cancer diagnosis right after childbirth. She recounted this ordeal on a TVMnews+ interview, saying,

“I wanted to breastfeed and this led to complications and my child was put in the NPICU, and I couldn’t produce any milk. It was then that I discovered that I had stage 0 breast cancer.”

Angele’s story isn’t just about her battle with a disease; it’s about her indomitable spirit. When doctors cautioned that her heart would soon stop, Angele felt a surge of energy, recalling, “When I heard the doctor say that my heart was going to stop beating, I was overcome by an energy and grant, and I wanted to turn my life around, for my children and myself.”

A strong advocate for yoga and meditation, Angele always emphasised the value of life.

“I want people to calm down and try to change their lives so that they can be happier and live a better life,” she said.

While she may have departed from this world, her legacy of courage, resilience, and love continues to inspire many.

Rest in peace, Angele De Leuw
