“I would like to thank everyone for the support I received and I want to reiterate I do not want my son to have died in vain,” Isabelle added.

In another statement on the Facebook page Għal Jean Paul, Isabelle reinforced her first comments and pledged to continue her work following this report.

“Tonight, I will be following the debate in parliament. I am determined to see a change from words to putting them into action,” Bonnici wrote.

“I don’t want my dear son Jean Paul to have died in vain and I don’t want another loved one to died because of a negligent system.”

The public inquiry report was presented to Prime Minister Robert Abela earlier this morning who proceeded to publish the 484-page to the public immediately.
