Israel Wins Eurovision Song Contest 2018

Israel’s Netta won the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest tonight in a nailbiting final, beating stiff competition from Cyprus, which placed second.
“Thank you for choosing different. Thank you for celebrating diversity,” Netta told the screaming audience when taking the stage as the winner.
The Toy singer was always tipped to be among the favourites, but other strong contenders emerged during the performances. The last time Israel won was 20 years ago with Dana International.
Austria placed third but was ranked first among the national juries. The show was held in Lisbon, Portugal.
Malta gave 12 points to Cyprus.
This is what the odds were looking like just before the winner was announced.
