‘It Seems Unreal’: Two Years On From Sliema Double Murder, Victim’s Family Still Haven’t Come To Terms With What Happened

Two years on from a double murder in Sliema that rocked the country, the Pandolfino family is still reeling from the horror suddenly thrust upon them.
“Today marks two years since my dear brother Chris and sweet Ivor were brutally murdered in their own home, their lives valued as a few gold chains by the three heartless scumbags,” Daniela Pandolfino, the sister of Chris Pandolfino, shared in a heartbreaking status today.
“It still seems unreal and my family and I will never come to terms with this tragedy. As time passes, the void that Chris left in our lives becomes deeper.”
Chris Pandolfino and Ivor Maciejowski were brutally murdered in a suspected robbery in their Sliema home on 18th August 2020. Three men have since been charged with the murder; Jesper Kristiansen, Daniel Muka and Viktor Dragomanski.
The three men accused of the murders have been indicted – however, the trauma lives on within the family and loved ones who knew the beloved couple.
“Our only hope now is that they are sentenced to a life in prison, never to enjoy life again, just like Chris and Ivor can never do.”
“We pray that this will happen very soon, that a jury date is set imminently, especially for my dear parents at their vulnerable age. We await justice to be served,” Pandolfino said, before ending with a quote from Emily Dickinson: “Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality”.
