Six new countries have been added to Malta’s safe flight list, Prime Minister Robert Abela announced today.

The new countries are Italy, France, Spain, Poland, Croatia and Greece, with some caveats.

All airports apart from those in Northern Italy will be included in the list. All of France apart from one region will be included; the same will go for Spain.

Israel will be removed from the current flight list due to new updates in regards monitoring of the COVID-19 virus in the country.

Malta’s airport is set to open on July 1st after months of being closed down.

Direct flights for 19 other countries or regions that are also included in the safe travel list were previously revealed: Iceland, Slovakia, Cyprus, Lithuania, Israel, Latvia, Norway, Switzerland, Estonia, Denmark, Hungary, Austria, Luxembourg, Germany, Czechia, Ireland, and Finland – though Israel has now been removed.
