ITV’s New Gameshow Filmed in Kalkara Looks Amazing

ITV just aired their newest gameshow, Cannonball, (which was filmed in Kalkara back in April) and people are hooked!

The waterpark-themed gameshow puts 24 contestants up against various challenges which include launching themselves at various water-targets, and tackling a monstrous swing – all with the beautiful backdrop of Kalkara.

“Everybody loves a great waterpark when they’re on holiday and Cannonball is the gameshow version of the best waterpark in the world,” Managing Director Michael Kelpie said.

The new show is hosted by Freddie Flintoff and Frankie Bridge, with Radzi Chinyanganya, Maya Jama, and comedian Ryan Hand co-presenting. Unmissable shots of Kalkara paired with endless intense splash-shots transport UK audiences back into their summer-holiday mindset, but we here in Malta might be more focused on the backdrop than the action.

That is, unless you know someone who took the plunge into TV stardom back in April. The show called for contestants here in Malta to join in on the fun, so there’s a good chance you know someone involved.

The first episode aired on Saturday, September 2 at 7pm on ITV, and the next nine are planned for the same Saturday time slot. Check it out!
