Japanese Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Ex-Partner In Sliema

A 41-year old Japanese man residing in Sliema was placed in custody after he was accused of raping his ex-partner. The incident happened at his home last Friday
Hirotaka Miyamoto, the defendant, his ex-girlfriend, and a friend were discovered in the apartment when the woman complained of being tired while they were out, it was revealed in court.
The man tried to engage in sexual activities with his ex-partner after their friend left the house where all three of them were sleeping, but she rejected him. Then, according to the Japanese, she was raped.
The accused, however denied the charge and said that his ex-partner frequently visited his house for sexual activities.
He was not allowed to be released from detention, and Magistrate Monica Vella ordered the prosecution to call the witness at the first court proceeding.
