Jason Micallef Lashes Out At ‘Spineless’ And ‘Fake’ People In Labour And Warns They Are Losing Credibility

Veteran PL activist Jason Micallef has come out strongly against certain unnamed individuals within the Labour Party, deriding them as “fake” and “spineless” and warning they are fast losing credibility.
In a long post to mark a decade since the PL was elected to government in 2013, Micallef took a look back at all the positions he was entrusted with since then and said he was proud to have acted with integrity.
However, he warned he has witnessed unpleasant changes in certain colleagues whom he had worked side by side with.
“We gave them opportunities to succeed, and employed them with PL or with the PL’s commercial companies and media. We encouraged and helped others to contest local, European and general elections.”
“Many of these people have now turned out to be the biggest disappointment.”

Micallef said he remembers some of these people as youngsters just starting out in politics, “completely shy and unknown”.
“I could never understand how some people change when you do nothing but help them and I believe this to be the worst character trait, a savage instinct where they forget you and stop recognising you to try and save themselves. Worse still, they spit on you without any remorse and cause damage for nothing.”
“While I remain proud of everything I did and of every appointment the PL government entrusted me with, I cannot help but feel disappointed and disillusioned by the false people who unfortunately reign, and who keep hatching, simply to save themselves or their seat or job.”
“They are spineless people. Without realising it, their poor characters will see them lose credibility completely.”
