Jean Paul Busuttil Identified As Victim Of Bidnija Shooting

Jean Paul Busuttil, known as ta’ Bandallu, has been identified as the victim of a road rage turned fatal shooting in Bidnija, TVMNews has reported.
What was described as a minor collision between a motorcycle and a car took a deadly turn when one motorist killed the other – both are residents of Bidnija.
The incident occurred at around 8am on Triq tal-Konkos, in the outskirts of St Paul’s Bay, Bidnija.
LESA officials were also on site, and it was at that point that the motorcyclist allegedly retrieved a firearm from his nearby home and shot the driver of the car.
The officers were unharmed but the 53-year-old car driver was injured. He attempted to drive himself to hospital but called for an ambulance when he reached Burmarrad.
The driver was critically injured and died later while the 46-year-old agressor was arrested on the spot.
Police are currently searching the surrounding fields for the weapon.
An inquiry has been launched by magistrate Ian Farrugia.
