Jerma Palace Catches Fire

Just as news emerged that the old Jerma Palace hotel is going to be demolished, the building this afternoon went up in smoke.
Police told Lovin Malta that the fire at the Marsascala hotel was caused by garbage, without giving details as to whether arson is being suspected.
Abandoned for years, the Jerma Palace hotel was yesterday finally issued with an enforcement notice, with the owner’s being asked to demolish it.
